Ivana
Ivana embarked on her journey with Mareel in February 2023, blending her passions for sustainability, art, and design to redefine the possibilities of eco-friendly living. Through the founding of Mareel, she aims to promote accessibility to marine plastic solutions and emphasize the potential in addressing ocean pollution by integrating upcycled marine plastic into our everyday lives.
Before founding Mareel, she worked in finance in Munich and at the World Bank in Washington DC, focusing on renewable energy technologies and climate change solutions. Native to Slovakia, Ivana pursued her studies at Columbia University in New York. In her free time, she enjoys travelling and exploring new places, visiting art galleries, hiking, skiing, free-diving, and painting.
